When 180×180 is useful

Small square images work best with one clear subject and generous space near the edges. Inspect the exported file at its actual size before publishing it. This preset produces a square 1:1 canvas containing 0.03 megapixels. The exact dimensions make it easier to satisfy a form, template or publishing workflow that specifies pixels instead of a general shape.

A resize changes the pixel grid; it does not automatically crop the composition. If the source has a different aspect ratio, preview the result carefully. Use the crop tool first when preserving proportions and trimming the edges is better than stretching the complete image.
